Delray Medical Center Welcomes Matthew Heywood as New Chief Operating Officer

DELRAY BEACH, FL. Matthew F. Heywood has joined Delray Medical Center as chief operating officer (COO), responsible for the operations of the 372-bed acute care facility.  Prior to joining Delray Medical Center, Heywood was vice president of operations for Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama and brings more than 10 years of financial, consulting and healthcare experience to his new position.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Matt to the management staff at Delray Medical Center,” said Mitch Feldman, CEO of the hospital.  “His proven track record speaks for itself and we have no doubt he’ll be an excellent addition to our administration team.”

Heywood is a graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., where he was also a three-year starter on the varsity football team.  He later received his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan School of Business Administration.
