Delray Medical Center has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top 50 hospitals in the country in the category of Heart and Heart Surgery.
Delray Medical Center placed No. 40 on the list in the magazine’s 14th annual publication of “America’s Best Hospitals” for 2003.

The top hospitals are ranked according to a methodology that factors in eight standards of medical care including US News Index, mortality ratio, discharges, RNs to beds, technology services, hospice palliative care and the presence of a trauma center. Delray Medical Center scored an 8.5 out of a possible 9.0 for technology services- defined as specialty-specific technologies offered on-site. Half-credit is awarded if a service is provided locally, but off-site.
Delray Medical Center is rated in the top five percent in the nation for overall cardiac services according to the latest information from HealthGrades, a national healthcare ratings firm. Delray Medical Center’s collective ratings of all cardiac services, including cardiac surgery, interventional procedures such as angioplasty, and treatment of heart attack or heart failure, place Delray Medical Center among the top five percent of hospitals nationwide. This is the third year in a row that Delray Medical Center has received a five star rating in cardiac services.
