On December 8, 2009 Delray Beach Mayor Nelson "Woodie" McDuffie presented a proclamation declaring December 8th as “Delray Medical Center Day.” The proclamation was accepted by Delray Medical Center’s ER Clinical Manager, Margaret Neddo. The proclamation was presented on behalf of the Delray Beach Fire Rescue in appreciation of Delray Medical Center’s donation of 12-Lead EKG Bluetooth transmission equipment from Zoll Data Systems to all six Delray Beach fire stations.
“We’re all in the business of saving lives and recognize the true value of a close and efficient partnership,” said Michelle Sutton-Epps, Delray Medical Center’s Director of Emergency and Trauma Services. “It’s our responsibility to maintain the most effective way of communicating with each other to provide a full range of superior health care services to our community.”
The Zoll Data Systems equipment allows for the transmission of EKGs via Bluetooth from cardiac alert patients in the field, to the ER, prior to patient’s arrival.
