
Pinecrest inpatient and outpatient therapy services will be with you every step of the way.
Inpatient:
- Inpatient has a greater percentage of patients who return to their home upon discharge than the national average.
- Only designated Adult Brain and Spinal Injury Inpatient Rehabilitation Program in Palm Beach County by the State of Florida/Department of Health
- 24 hour availability of medical care as part of Delray Medical Center
- Therapy a minimum of 3 hours per day, 5 days per week. Therapy treatment plan is customized to meet individual needs
- Rehabilitation nursing in inpatient provided by an all RN (Registered Nurse) staff, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- A inpatient team of specialized professionals, including a physiatrist (rehabilitation physician), physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/ language pathologists, dietician, licensed psychologists/ neuropsychologists and case managers
- Recreational Therapy which emphasizes a return to social, community and leisure activities, including pet therapy
- Walgreens Pharmacy service available to deliver your prescriptions to your room prior to discharge
- Education and training for families/caregivers with a discharge planning Q and A session available. Home evaluations and community outings are scheduled as appropriate with patients and family members to ensure a safe discharge home.
- Family and individual counseling is available, including peer mentoring
- Free Wi-Fi throughout the hospital
- A day room includes a library, public computer and vending machines for patients and families.
Outpatient:
- Driver’s Education/Re-training Program
- Comprehensive Outpatient Rehab Program for continuum of care located on the Delray Campus
- Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist for dizziness and balance
- Family and Individual Counseling for Coping/ Adjustment
- Onsite Community Support Groups: Stroke and Brain Injury (Meet monthly)
- Practice Evidenced Based Rehabilitation
- 1 on 1 therapy with licensed therapists
- Wheelchair seating and Positioning Evaluation with pressure mapping available as needed
- Appointments available as early as 8 a.m. and go through 6 p.m.
