Delray Medical Recognition as Top 100 Great Community Hospital

Jun 16, 2015

Delray Beach, Fla. (June 17, 2015) – Delray Medical Center is the only hospital in South Florida to earn a spot on the top 100 list for “Great Community Hospitals” in 2015 by Becker’s Hospital Review, a leading hospital and health care industry trade publication. The recognition distinguishes Delray Medical Center as one of the top performing community hospitals across the nation.

“This prestigious distinction is a tribute to all of the hard work of our medical staff, employees and volunteers who have been continually providing our patients and the community with outstanding care,” said hospital CEO Mark Bryan.  “We are honored to be the only hospital in South Florida to win this recognition.”

The Becker’s Hospital Review team selected the top 100 hospitals based on national rankings and awards from renowned organizations, including iVantage Health Analytics, Truven Health Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters), Healthgrades and The Joint Commission. The hospitals listed have fewer than 550 beds and are either located in a suburban or rural area or serve as the only hospital in their community. Delray Medical Center and the other hospitals included in the ranking have continually worked to provide the quality of care and experience patients deserve and expect.

Delray has earned numerous recognitions in 2015, including being named a Truven Health 100 Top Hospital and earning an "A" Hospital Safety Score from the Leapfrog Group. Additionally, Healthgrades named Delray one of America's 50 Best Hospitals for the ninth consecutive year and recognized the hospital with the Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence for the 13th consecutive year.
