Delray Medical Center Welcomes New Governing Board Member

Delray Beach, Fla. (May 5, 2015— Delray Medical Center appoints Mary Lou Berger, County Commissioner and Vice Mayor of Palm Beach County, to the hospital’s Governing Board.

“Commissioner Berger will be an excellent resource to help us fulfill our mission to continually provide the highest standards of care,” said CEO Mark Bryan.  “Her long record of involvement in Palm Beach County and her terrific insight into the needs of her constituents will be of great value to our board.” 

Prior to her election to the County Commission in 2012, Commissioner Berger worked as a senior administrative assistant for Palm Beach County Commissioner Burt Aaronson for nearly two decades. She was in charge of monitoring community issues and responding to constituent concerns in West Boynton, Boca and Delray Beach. Berger’s background also includes serving as a supervisor for the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court.

Among her many accomplishments, Berger is a board member of several organizations, including Palm Beach County’s Cultural Council, Metropolitan Planning Organization and Value Adjustment Board.
