Stroke Director

Dr. Roy Katzin was a biomathematics major at Rutgers University between 1975-1978. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1982. He completed a rotating Internal Medicine internship at the Medical University of South Carolina 1982-1983, and then his Neurology residency at the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics/Jackson Memorial Hospital 1983-1986. In private practice since 1986, Dr. Katzin’s specialty interests include cerebrovascular disease and movement disorders. He is presently the Stroke Director at Delray Medical Center, as well as the Medical Director of the Sleep Disorders Center at Delray Medical Center. He previously was Chief of Medicine, Vice-Chief of Staff, Chief of Staff and Governing Board member at Delray Medical Center. He is the President of South Florida Neurology Associates. His hobbies include American History, travel and golf. He resides in Boca Raton with his family.

Neurosurgery Director

Dr. Lloyd Zucker obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Biology at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Rutgers. Dr. Zucker completed his General Surgery Internship at Middlesex General Hospital and his Neurosurgery Fellowship at Hartford Hospital and John Dempsey Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. His Spinal Instrumentation Fellowship was completed at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. His areas of special interest include spinal surgery and instrumentation, stereotactic neurosurgery/radiosurgery, and movement disorder surgery. Dr. Zucker is a Diplomat of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Neurointerventional Director

Dr. Nils Mueller-Kronast earned his Doctor of Medicine at Stadt Krankenhaus Harlaching, Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. He then completed his Residency, Internship and Vascular/Interventional Neurology Fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami in Miami, Florida. Dr. Mueller-Kronast completed an additional Fellowship at Stadt Krankenhaus Harlaching, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat, Munich, Germany in Stroke and Neurocritical Care. His areas of special interests include Intra-artierial stroke treatment and management of traumatic injury to the cervical and cerebral vessels. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Neurology and the American Board of Vascular Neurology.
