Percutaneous Ventricular Assist Device

Ventricular Assist Devices assist the heart by helping the ventricles pump blood, easing the workload of the heart in patients with heart failure. Percutaneous Ventricular Assist Devices are used in patients undergoing high risk angioplasty and also in patients who have acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) to support the heart and allow the heart to heal.
