At Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital we offer a wide range of therapy services. We provide a caring, family-oriented environment where individuals who have suffered an illness or injury have the opportunity to rebuild their lives and achieve their highest level of functional independence.

Family Participation and Support Groups

Nothing heals quite like time with the family. Family members are encouraged to become involved in the recovery process. They are included right from the start of care. We offer a variety of support groups and educational programs to help patients and families cope with the stress of a major injury or illness.

Our rehabilitation program at a glance

  • CARF Accredited rehabilitation unit (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities)
  • Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program Designated Rehabilitation Unit: Pinecrest is the only state designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in Palm Beach County by the state of Florida, Department of Health
  • 24 hour availability of emergency medical care as part of Delray Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center
  • Specialty rehabilitation programs for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation

What does your rehab look like?

Our approach to rehab is centered on the patient. You’ll get individualized one-on-one therapy, tailored to your unique injury and needs. Depending on the seriousness of your injury, rehab can be really difficult, and so we also offer peer mentorship to help you through the most challenging times. It’s a program built for your needs.

When your rehab program ends, we stay with you. Getting reacquainted with the world can be the most challenging part, so we offer preparation to return home, to school or to work. And because you’ll be leaning on family and friends for support, we offer training for families and caregivers with a class focused on your return home.
