Transcatheter therapies can offer new options for patients suffering from severe aortic and mitral valve disease. These patients frequently present with severely damaged additional organ systems, including heart and renal failure. Transcatheter procedures are a new treatment option for a subgroup of cardiac patients at high risk of morbidity and mortality with open heart surgery.

Dr. Maini is a structural heart cardiologist and the Medical Director of Transcatheter Therapies for Tenet Florida. He is on staff at Delray Medical Center where he is performing the WATCHMAN™ procedure.
Dr. Maini is a Diplomate of the American Board of Interventional Cardiology and the American Board of Cardiovascular Diseases. He specializes in treating advanced and complex structural heart disease using minimally invasive approaches. His areas of interest include: transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), percutaneous mitral valve repair (TMVR), left atrial appendage closures (Watchman device), endograft repair for abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, and percutaneous ventricular assist devices (VAD).
Dr. Maini is a national proctor for TAVR, TMVR and LAA closure procedures, as well as a proctor for aortic diseases. He has a keen interest in research and has participated in more than 70 cardiovascular research trials. Dr. Maini is widely published in the field of cardiovascular medicine with greater than 70 publications in peer reviewed journals. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
